Garmin India has launched the Garmin Forerunner 745 smartwatch, a GPS running watch built specifically for runners, triathletes and serious athletes. It pairs comprehensive training data with on-device workout features, monitoring and analyzing your performance to help you hit your targets. Dozens of built-in activity profiles cover triathlon, pool swimming, track running and more.
What the Garmin Forerunner 745 smartwatch offers athletes
The watch is designed around training intelligence rather than just step counting. It supports VO2 Max, training load, training status, and aerobic and anaerobic training metrics, giving athletes a fuller picture of how their effort translates into progress.
During a race or a brick workout, athletes can switch between different activities at the press of a button. That keeps the focus on the session itself, so a training routine can be completed without distraction.
Running metrics
Runners can view six running metrics directly on the watch, including Cadence and Stride Length, to refine form and pacing over time.
- VO2 Max, training load and training status
- Aerobic and anaerobic training insight
- Six on-watch running metrics, including Cadence and Stride Length
- Personalized running and cycling suggestions with guidance from Garmin coaches
Cycling and swim tracking on the Forerunner 745
Beyond running, the Forerunner 745 assists with cycling and swim training through its advanced dynamics. For cyclists, it tracks a wide range of data including left and right balance, time seated and standing, platform center offset and power phase.
In the water, the watch monitors distance, stroke, pace and personal records, making it a single device that follows an athlete across all three triathlon disciplines.
