The Redmi Watch is the first smartwatch from Redmi, the brand under Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi. It arrived alongside the Redmi Note 9 5G series as a budget wearable, pairing a square 1.4-inch display with fitness tracking, NFC and a heart rate monitor. Here is what the watch offers and how much it costs.
Redmi Watch design and display
The Redmi Watch uses a square-shaped dial paired with a 1.4-inch display. The screen supports auto-brightness, adjusting to your surroundings. You can personalise the look with support for 120 watch faces, so the dial can be set according to your own taste.
The watch connects to the Mi Fit app, where its tracking data and settings live. As a smartphone wearable, it fits naturally alongside Xiaomi and Redmi phones.
Redmi Watch fitness and health features
The watch ships with several pre-installed fitness modes and offers seven sports modes in total. These include running, cycling and indoor swimming. A built-in heart rate sensor monitors your heart rate around the clock, and the company says it will also report full 30-day heart rate monitoring.
Sleep monitoring is included, along with tools for breathing exercises. There are limits, though: the Redmi Watch has no blood oxygen level monitor, and it does not offer ECG.

Battery life and charging
Redmi claims up to 7 days of battery backup on the watch. With lighter use, the company says that backup can stretch to 12 days. The 230mAh battery charges fully in 2 hours.
Redmi Watch price and availability
The Redmi Watch has launched in China for now, priced at 299 yuan. A timeline for an India launch is not clear. Because India is a big market for Redmi, the company could bring the watch there too.
