At a virtual YouTube session held on Monday, Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma confirmed that the brand is developing a new 6GB RAM smartphone, and signalled that Micromax can bring liquid cooling and a high refresh rate to its next In-series phone. What Micromax can bring liquid cooling to next
Answering a user question during the session, Sharma said buyers can expect a new phone with 6GB of RAM soon. He clarified that this device will not be a new variant of the Micromax In Note 1. For context, the existing In Note 1 handsets ship with 4GB of RAM and a choice of 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage.
Beyond the extra memory, Sharma hinted that the next In-series phone could feature liquid cooling and a high refresh rate. These were described as expected additions to the upcoming model rather than upgrades to the current Note 1.

Sharma also addressed the existing In Note 1. He noted that the phone comes with Widevine L3 support and Rainbow CG-01 Pro Glass Protection. Micromax has begun providing a back cover with the In Note 1, and Sharma said this back cover will also be extended to customers who have already purchased these Note 1 handsets.
Responding to comments from some YouTubers about flaws in the phone's back panel on social media, Sharma said there was a problem with the back panel in a small lot unit, which was corrected immediately. The company has also released a WhatsApp number (9811428191) for user questions and answers.
The Micromax In Note 1 is currently available through Flipkart and the Micromax website. Product head Sunil Joon added that the In-series phones will soon be available for offline sale in the country, with Sharma confirming plans to bring them to offline retailers.
