The Samsung Galaxy F62 has moved a step closer to launch, with sources confirming that production has started in India at Samsung's Greater Noida factory. The phone, which carries the model number SM-E625F, is expected to debut in India in the first quarter of 2021. According to those sources, it will also be the thinnest phone the company has made.
Samsung Galaxy F62 production and expected launch
Exclusive reports a few days ago indicated that Samsung had begun work on the new F-series handset. The same SM-E625F model number was later spotted on the benchmarking site Geekbench, adding weight to those early reports.
Now, with production confirmed to be underway in Greater Noida, the device appears on track for its expected first-quarter 2021 arrival in the Indian market.
Galaxy F62 specifications spotted on Geekbench
The Geekbench listing points to a familiar set of internals. Samsung is tipped to pair the handset with its Exynos 9825 chipset, backed by a generous helping of memory, and ship it running Android out of the box.

Samsung launched its Galaxy F series in the Indian market a few months earlier. The series made its global debut in India, and the first phone to carry the badge was the Samsung Galaxy F41.
A look back at the Samsung Galaxy F41
The Galaxy F41 set the template for the line. It arrived with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display at a 20:9 aspect ratio and 2400x1080 pixel resolution. Inside, it ran Android 10 on a Samsung Exynos 9611 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz.
On the back, the F41 carried a triple camera setup led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor with LED flash.
