The OnePlus fitness band is set to launch in India on 11 January, according to a leaked report, and the company has already begun teasing the wearable. A OnePlus post on Twitter pointed fans to a notification page that went live on the OnePlus website, billed as The New Face of Fitness Coming Soon. It signals the brand's move into fitness wearables in India after its phones.
Positioned against Xiaomi's Mi Band 5, the band is expected to carry an approximate price of around Rs 2,499 while borrowing features usually reserved for smartwatches.

According to the leaked report, the OnePlus fitness band could include a 24/7 heart rate monitor and a blood saturation SpO2 monitor. SpO2 indicates the amount of oxygen in the blood, a reading that became especially relevant during the pandemic, since Covid-19 positive people can experience a rapid drop in oxygen levels.
The band is also tipped to offer sleep tracking, a 1.1-inch touch AMOLED color display, and straps in several color options.

Battery, durability and sports modes
The wearable is expected to deliver 14 days of battery life on a charge. It is also said to support 5ATM and IP68 water resistance, so the device should hold up against dust and water rather than deteriorating quickly.
For workouts, the band reportedly packs 13 exercise modes, covering activities such as outdoor runs, cycling, cricket, pool swim and yoga. The combination of tracking sensors and sport profiles is what pushes this band toward smartwatch territory.
