At CES 2021, Acer refreshes Predator and Aspire lines with five new laptops aimed at gamers and everyday users alike. The launch spans high-performance Predator gaming machines, the more affordable Nitro 5, and two mainstream Aspire notebooks. Here is what each model brings and when it goes on sale.
Acer refreshes Predator gaming laptops
The Predator series headlines the announcement with the Helios 300 and the Triton 300 SE. Both run 11th generation Intel hardware and pair it with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics. According to Acer, the addition of NVIDIA graphics lets these laptops operate at twice the capacity.

Nitro 5
Acer also refreshed its affordable Nitro 5 line-up. It uses the 11th generation Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 9 processor, with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU handling graphics. The Nitro 5 has a 165Hz refresh rate QHD display that will support Full HD Plus with a 360Hz refresh rate. It also adds Wi-Fi 6 and CoolBoost technology, and reaches the US market in February.
Acer Aspire 5 and Aspire 7 for everyday use
Rounding out the launch are two mainstream notebooks, the Aspire 5 and the Aspire 7. Both lean on AMD Ryzen 5000 processors and are positioned for buyers who want dependable everyday performance rather than top-tier gaming power.
Aspire 7
The Aspire 7 uses the AMD Ryzen 5000 Series mobile processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU for graphics. It comes with a 15.6-inch display and supports features such as long battery back-up and Wi-Fi 6.
Aspire 5
The Aspire 5 also comes with an AMD Ryzen 5000 processor, paired with an AMD Radeon GPU for graphics. It packs 24GB of RAM and supports 1TB SSD internal memory. Both Aspire laptops go on sale in March.
