The Xbox Wireless Headset has arrived for Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One and Windows 10 devices, bringing console-grade audio to gamers who want a cable-free setup. The black headset pairs directly with the console and adds voice isolation and auto-mute to keep chat clean. In the US it is priced at $99 (about Rs 7,300).
Built for both gameplay and party chat, it leans on large drivers, on-ear controls and broad spatial-sound support to cover everyday play sessions.
Xbox Wireless Headset Dolby Atmos and spatial sound
The Xbox Wireless Headset Dolby Atmos support is one of its headline draws for immersive audio. Alongside Dolby Atmos, the headset works with Windows Sonic and DTS Headphone:X, giving players a choice of spatial-audio formats.
For everyday tuning, rotating ear cup dials let you adjust the volume and balance the mix between game and chat without leaving your seat. Deeper settings are handled in software.
- Voice isolation and auto-mute to reduce background noise
- Direct pairing with the Xbox console
- Rotating ear cup dials for volume and game/chat balance
- Bend boom mic that can be removed when not in use
- LED indicator showing whether the mic is on or off
App control
Through the Xbox Accessories app, users can control the headset equalizer settings, auto-mute, LED brightness and many more functions. The mic uses a bend boom design and can be removed when it is not needed, while the LED indicator makes it easy to see the mic state at a glance.
Specifications and battery life
For strong sound, the headset uses 40mm drivers made from a paper composite diaphragm and neodymium magnets, with a response range between 20Hz and 20,000Hz. Connectivity is handled over Bluetooth 4.2 with support for the SBC codec.
Battery life is rated at up to 15 hours, and charging is done through a USB Type-C port. The company says the headset gains about four hours of battery life from 30 minutes of charging, while a full charge takes three hours.
