Kodak Luma 500: Palm-sized projector will show movies in 150-inch size! Launched at this price

Kodak has officially launched its new portable projector Luma 500 FHD Ultra Smart Pico Projector. According to the company, this projector is for those who want to enjoy movie nights not only indoors but also outside – be it a garden or a glamping setup in the valleys of a mountain. The device weighs only 544 grams and its size is so compact that it can be held in the palm. Comes with native 1080p Full HD resolution and 4K input support, meaning the picture quality will be crisp and sharp.

Kodak Luma 500 is priced at $699.99 (about Rs 59,300) and is currently available for sale on Amazon US. Customers can buy it in two color options – black and white. Kodak says that the device has Google TV 11 built-in, which gives access to 10,000+ apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube. Google Assistant support is also provided so that you can also run it with voice commands.

The special thing about this projector is that it can project from a distance of 3.8 meters on a screen up to 150 inches. Comes with DLP technology and has a 1.2: 1 throw ratio. However, its brightness is only 150 ANSI lumens.

The Luma 500 has an inbuilt battery of 10,500mAh which can give continuous playback for about 2 hours. For connectivity, it has options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI and USB. Along with this, it also has auto-focus, keystone correction and multiple projection modes, which makes it easy to set it from any angle.

The device also comes with a tripod so you can easily set it up on any surface. For gaming, it offers an input latency of 30ms at 60Hz via HDMI, meaning this device can prove to be useful for casual gaming as well.
