Huawei launches new version of MatePad Pro, dual-cell 5,050mAh battery

Chinese devices maker Huawei has launched a new version of MatePad Pro 12.2. This tablet has a Tandem OLED PaperMatte display. Its dual-cell 5,050 mAh battery supports 100 W wired fast charging. However, the company has not given information about its processor.

The price of the 12 GB + 256 GB variant of this tablet in Italy and select European countries is 849.99 euros (about Rs 81,700) and the 12 GB + 512 GB is 999.99 euros (about Rs 96,000). It has been brought in green and black colors. This tablet can also be launched in other international markets soon.

MatePad Pro 12.2 Specifications

It has a 12.2-inch Tandem OLED PaperMatte display (1,840 x 2,800 pixels) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a pixel density of 274 ppi, and a peak brightness level of 2,000 nits. The screen of this tablet supports P3 wide color gamut and Delta E <1 color accuracy. Huawei has not confirmed its processor. This tablet has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 out-of-the-box. It has quad speakers. The MatePad Pro 12.2 has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

The dual-cell 5,050 mAh battery (10,100 mAh) of MatePad Pro 12.2 supports 100 W wired fast charging. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB 3.1 Gen 1 as connectivity options. It has a fingerprint sensor on the side for security. The size of this tablet is 182.53 x 271.25 x 5.5 mm and weighs about 508 grams. Along with this, Huawei has also made Freebuds 6 earphones available for sale. Its price is 159 euros (about Rs 15,200). Freebuds 6 have 11 mm dynamic drivers and micro-flat tweeters. These earphones were launched in China in March this year. Freebuds 6 can be purchased from Huawei’s e-store in white, purple and black colors.
