Huawei Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro launched in China with stylish design and satellite feature
Huawei has launched its new smartphones Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro in China. These phones have great design, powerful camera setup and new AI features. The company has launched both these phones with HarmonyOS 5. Apart from this, features like satellite messaging have also been given in these smartphones, which makes them a strong option in the mid-segment and premium range.
Price of Huawei Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro
The starting price of Huawei Nova 14 is 2,699 yuan (about ₹ 30,000). This phone will be available for sale from May 30 in 256GB, 512GB and Kunlun Glass variants. Color options include Feather Sand Black, Frosted White and Ice Crystal Blue.
The price of Nova 14 Pro starts at 3,499 yuan (about ₹39,000). This phone will go on sale from May 23. It will be available in four colors – Feather Sand Black, Frosted White, Ice Crystal Blue and Ice Crystal Pink.
Specifications of Huawei Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro
Display : Huawei Nova 14 has a 6.7-inch flat display, which supports 2412 x 1084 pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. At the same time, the Nova 14 Pro has a slightly larger 6.78-inch curved display, which has a resolution of 2776 x 1224 pixels and an LTPO refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz. Both the phones also have display protection features keeping in mind eye protection.
Performance : The company has not given information about the processor, but both the phones come with high performance hardware that can handle multitasking, image processing and AI based tasks in an excellent way. Both devices run on HarmonyOS 5, which features new multitasking tools like Live Window, Tap to Share and Single Click Huawei ID Login. Huawei’s voice assistant ‘Celia’ has also been improved now.
Camera : The Huawei Nova 14 has a triple camera setup, which includes a 50MP RYYB Ultra Vision primary camera (f/1.9), a 12MP telephoto portrait lens (with OIS), and an 8MP ultra-wide macro lens. A 50MP front camera has been provided for selfies.
The camera setup in Nova 14 Pro is even more special. It has a 50MP main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0, OIS), 12MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 1.5MP Maple Color sensor. There is a dual camera on the front – a 50MP portrait camera and an 8MP close-up lens that supports 5x zoom.
Battery : For power backup, both these Huawei smartphones have a strong 5,500mAh battery. At the same time, to charge this big battery fast, the mobile phones have support for 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo. A 100W Ice Crystal charger is available in the box which promises fast and safe charging.
Other Features : The Nova 14 series supports dual-mode BeiDou satellite messaging. The camera app includes AI features like Magic Eraser, 3D face contouring and portrait beauty modes. The Pro variant also features a smart control button for the first time in the Nova series. Both phones also support NFC based E-Ink display cover, allowing users to customize their cover design.
