Vivo launches X Fold 5, know price, specifications
Vivo, one of the big smartphone companies, has launched the X Fold 5. This book-style foldable smartphone has a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch inner flexible panel. The peak brightness level of both its displays is 4,500 nits. It has a Zeiss branded triple rear camera unit.

This foldable smartphone has been launched in China. The price of the X Fold 5 variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs 84,000), 12 GB + 512 GB is CNY 7,999 (approximately Rs 95,900), 16 GB + 512 GB is CNY 8,499 (approximately Rs 1,01,900) and 16 GB + 1 TB variant is CNY 9,499 (approximately Rs 1,14,000). This smartphone has been made available in white, green and black colors. The X Fold 5 will be sold from July 2 through the company’s e-store and select e-commerce sites.

This smartphone has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as a processor. It runs on OriginOS 15 based on Android 5. The triple rear camera unit of the X Fold 5 has a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Vivo has stated that this smartphone is compatible with Apple’s ecosystem. This includes iPhone, AirPods, MacBook, Apple Watch and iCloud. This smartphone can be easily connected with these devices.
The 6,000 mAh battery of the X Fold 5 comes with support for 80 W and 40 W wireless charging. The company claims that it can work even in -20 degrees Celsius. It has a fingerprint sensor on the side for security. The thickness of this smartphone is 9.2 mm when folded and 4.3 mm when unfolded. Its weight is approximately 217 grams. The sales of foldable smartphones have increased rapidly in the last few years. South Korea’s Samsung has the highest share in this segment.
