Honor Magic V Flip 2: Flip phone with 5500mAh battery and big display launched, know the price

Honor has launched its new flip smartphone Honor Magic V Flip 2 in China. This phone has a 6.82-inch FHD+ OLED LTPO inner display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. There is a 4-inch OLED cover display on the outside. For performance, it has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The camera setup has a 200MP primary sensor and the phone has a 5,500mAh battery to power it.

Talking about pricing, the base variant (12GB + 256GB) of Honor Magic V Flip 2 starts at CNY 5,499 (about Rs 66,900) in China. The price of 12GB + 512GB is CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 73,000), 12GB + 1TB is CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs 79,000) and the top model 16GB + 1TB is CNY 7,499 (approximately Rs 91,300). The phone can be purchased in Dawn Purple, Dream Weaver Blue, Moon Shadow White and Titanium Air Grey color options. Pre-orders have started on Honor e-store and select e-commerce sites and the sale will start from August 28.

Talking about specifications, Honor Magic V Flip 2 works on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.1. It has a 6.82-inch FHD+ (1,232×2,868 pixels) OLED LTPO inner display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM dimming and 5,000 nits peak brightness. At the same time, there is a 4-inch OLED cover screen on the outside, which has 1,200×1,092 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 3,600 nits brightness.

The camera department has a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 50MP selfie camera on the inside. The special thing is that both the inner and outer cameras support 4K video recording.

For performance, it has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is paired with LPDDR5X RAM (up to 16GB) and UFS 4.0 storage (up to 1TB). The Honor flip phone has a 5,500mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC support. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone has also received IP58 and IP59 ratings. It weighs 193g and is 6.9mm thick.
