Vivo Y500 launched: It has 12GB RAM and 50MP camera, but you will be stunned to know the battery capacity!
Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone, Vivo Y500, in its domestic market, which comes with a big battery, AMOLED display and rugged build. It has a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen, which comes with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support. The phone has a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, with Mali-G615 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The camera setup has a 50MP primary and 2MP depth sensor, while the front has an 8MP camera. The special feature of the device is the 8,200mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging.
Talking about the price, the 8GB + 128GB variant of Vivo Y500 has been launched at CNY 1,399 (about Rs 17,000), while the price of 8GB + 256GB has been kept at CNY 1,599 (about Rs 19,700). The 12GB + 256GB variant will be available at CNY 1,799 (about Rs 22,000) and the 12GB + 512GB variant at CNY 1,999 (Rs 24,700). According to the company, it has been introduced in three color options – Black, Glacier Blue and Dragon Crystal Purple. Pre-orders have started for China and shipping will start from September 5.
Vivo Y500 runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 15. The display is a 6.77-inch FHD+ (2,392 x 1,080) AMOLED, which gets a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. For performance, a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor has been given, which comes with octa-core architecture. It is paired with Mali-G615 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage options.
The rear has a dual camera unit with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, while the front includes an 8MP shooter.
Connectivity includes 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and USB Type‑C 2.0. The battery is 8,200mAh, which supports 90W fast charging. It has features like in-display fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers and also gets IP68, IP69 and IP69+ rated build. The Vivo Y500 weighs 213g and is 8.23mm thick.
