A new Redmi A5 smartphone has been launched for ₹5,999. You’ll get 50GB of free data if you use this company’s SIM.

If you’re looking for a low-cost smartphone, Redmi has introduced the new Airtel-Exclusive Redmi A5 in India. As the name suggests, it’s an “Exclusive Airtel Edition,” launched as part of a partnership between Redmi and Airtel. Priced at ₹5,999, this mobile phone also comes with a variety of telecom benefits. First, let’s note that this smartphone is compatible with only Airtel SIMs, and in return, the company will offer recharge discounts and free internet data.

Talking about the benefits of the Redmi A5 Airtel Edition smartphone, users using an Airtel number on this phone will receive a 7.5 percent discount. Under this scheme, users will receive a maximum discount of ₹750. Customers using an Airtel SIM will receive 50GB of data, completely free. This affordable Redmi phone, priced at ₹5,999, will be available in Jaisalmer Gold, Just Black, and Pondicherry Blue colors.

After purchasing the Redmi A5 Airtel Edition, you must use an Airtel prepaid SIM card. Using an Airtel number for 18 months is mandatory, and after that, customers can also use Jio, BSNL, or any other company’s number. The condition is that during these 18 months, Airtel customers must recharge at least ₹299 per month to keep the SIM active.

Speaking of the phone’s features and specifications, this phone comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. For processing, this smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor. This is a mobile CPU based on 12nm fabrication, capable of running at clock speeds up to 1.8GHz.

This affordable smartphone runs on Android 15 ‘Go’ edition. Being an Android Go Edition device, Google Go apps can be downloaded and installed on this phone.
