Honor Magic 8 Series Launched, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chipset, Learn Price, Specifications

Chinese smartphone maker Honor has launched the Honor Magic 8 series. This series includes the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro. These smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

The base model of this series with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at CNY 4,499 (approximately Rs. 55,600), the 12 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs. 59,000), the 16 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 61,700), and the 16 GB + 1 TB variant is priced at CNY 5,499 (approximately Rs. 67,900). This smartphone has been made available in Azure Glaze, Snow White, Sunrise Gold and Velvet Black colours. The Honor Magic 8 Pro variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced at CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs 70,300), 12 GB + 512 GB is priced at CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 74,000), 16 GB + 512 GB is priced at CNY 6,199 (approximately Rs 76,500) and 16 GB + 1 TB variant is priced at CNY 6,699 (approximately Rs 82,700). This dual-camera smartphone features a 6.71-inch 1.5K (1,256 x 2,808 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness level of up to 6,000 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The smartphone runs on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The Honor Magic 8 Pro’s triple rear camera unit includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 100x digital zoom. A 50-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on this smartphone include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and color temperature sensor. The Honor Magic 8 Pro features an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security. This smartphone is powered by a 7,200 mAh battery.

The Honor Magic 8’s 7,000mAh battery supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. The smartphone measures 157.12 x 74.03 x 7.95mm and weighs approximately 205 grams.
