Honor Magic 8 Pro launched: 7100mAh battery, 200MP telephoto camera, and AI features; learn the price
Honor has launched its new flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 8 Pro, in the UAE market. The company is positioning this phone as a model that focuses on AI imaging, long battery life, and next-generation connectivity. The phone features a 6.71-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120Hz, a 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It also includes a 200MP AI Ultra Night Telephoto camera for low-light photography.
The smartphone is available for pre-order in the UAE starting December 11, 2025. The Honor Magic 8 Pro is offered in Sunrise Gold, Sky Cyan, and Black color options. The model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will be available for AED 3,999 (approximately Rs. 97,800), while the variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage was launched for AED 4,699 (approximately Rs. 1,15,000). For early buyers, the company has also launched a pre-order pack that includes the Honor Watch5 Ultra, 12 months of Honor VIP Care+, and a three-month Google AI Pro trial. The phone will be available on the Honor Online Store and several major retailers like Sharaf DG, Jumbo, Virgin Megastore, Amazon, and Noon.
Specifications-wise, the Honor Magic 8 Pro’s 6.71-inch 1.5K OLED quad-curve panel offers HDR10+, 1800 nits of global peak brightness, and 6000 nits of HDR peak brightness. 4320Hz PWM dimming and Rhino Glass protection provide a premium visual experience. The phone comes with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, providing robust dust and water resistance.
For performance, the Magic 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, which the company claims is a new thermal and processing upgrade. The device comes in 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage options. It runs on Magic UI 10.0, based on Android 16. For AI, the phone features features like AI Button, AI Search, and AI Documents.
The camera setup on the back includes three sensors: a 50MP wide camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP telephoto lens with OIS support, along with 3.7X optical and 100X digital zoom. The phone includes features like AI Ultra Night Portrait and the new AI Magic Color for low-light and portrait photography. The front features a 50MP camera and a 3D depth sensor, which supports 4K 60fps video recording.
Connectivity is a major highlight of this phone. The Honor Magic 8 Pro is the UAE’s first 5.5G-ready smartphone. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB-C 3.2 Gen1, and multi-navigation system support including NavIC. The device also features dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra sound effects. It also has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. The phone weighs 219 grams and is 8.32mm thick.
