OnePlus has launched its new budget 5G smartphone, the
OnePlus N6, in India. The company claims it is the most affordable smartphone
in its portfolio. Its standout feature is a massive 8,000mAh battery, which the
company says can last up to three days on a single charge. The phone is powered
by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor and features a 120Hz display and
OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
The 4GB + 128GB variant of the OnePlus N6 is priced at
₹22,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant will cost ₹24,999. The smartphone will
be available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Black color options. Sales will begin
on July 4 via OnePlus.in and Amazon India.
As part of the launch offer, customers can avail an instant
discount of ₹2,000 using cards from select banks, including ICICI Bank.
Additionally, an extra discount of ₹1,000 will be offered during the Prime Day
Sale. This brings the starting effective price of the phone down to ₹19,999.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus N6 features a
6.75-inch HD+ LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak
brightness of 1,200 nits. The smartphone runs on OxygenOS 16 based on Android
16. The company has promised two years of Android updates and three years of
security updates for the device.
For performance, the phone is equipped with the MediaTek
Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, supported by an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB
of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It also includes a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling
system. The OnePlus N6 features an 8,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast
charging, bypass charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. The company claims
the phone can last up to three days on a single full charge. Additionally, the
battery is rated for 1,600 charge cycles and is claimed to retain 80% battery
health even after seven years.
For photography, the phone is equipped with a 50MP primary
rear camera, while an 8MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. It also
includes AI features such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Ultra Clarity, Google
Gemini, AI Notes, and document scanning.
Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5,
Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, OTG, and dual SIM support. The phone comes with
an IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability. It measures 8.88mm
in thickness and weighs 224 grams.
