Chinese handset maker Redmi has launched the Redmi Note 17
series. In addition to the standard model, the series includes the Redmi Note
17 Pro. The Redmi Note 17 is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor and
succeeds the Redmi Note 15. The smartphone supports video recording at up to
1,080p/30 fps. It features a 7-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,396 pixels) OLED
display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Launched in China, the smartphone is priced at CNY 1,299
(approx. ₹18,400) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 1,399 (approx.
₹19,900) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, and CNY 1,599 (approx. ₹22,700) for the
8GB + 256GB variant. The Redmi Note 17 is available in Purple, Green, and Black
color options.
Redmi Note 17 Specifications and Features
This dual-SIM smartphone features a 7-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x
2,396 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling
rate, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It is powered by an octa-core
Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor paired with an Adreno GPU. It runs on Xiaomi's
HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. On the rear, the smartphone houses a
square-shaped camera module containing a 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8
aperture and an LED flash. It features an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies
and video calls. The smartphone is capable of recording video at up to
1,080p/30 fps.
Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS,
and a USB Type-C port. Sensors included in the smartphone are an e-compass,
accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Redmi Note 17
houses an 8,000 mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W
reverse wired charging. The device measures 169.7 x 79.14 x 8.26 mm and weighs
approximately 225 grams. It features an in-display optical fingerprint scanner
for security.
