Samsung, a major player in the device market, has unveiled
its new series of wearable devices. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Samsung
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 were launched at the company's Galaxy Unpacked event,
which also saw the introduction of new foldable smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 Price
This smartwatch is available for pre-order in select
international markets starting Wednesday. In India, the price for the 40mm Bluetooth-only
model of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 is ₹37,999, while the Bluetooth + LTE model
is priced at ₹41,999. The 44mm models are priced at ₹40,999 and ₹44,999,
respectively. Samsung has also introduced a new range of watch bands alongside
this smartwatch.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 Specifications
The smartwatch features a Super AMOLED Always-On display.
The 44mm model comes with a 1.47-inch display (480 x 480 pixels), while the
40mm variant features a 1.34-inch panel (438 x 438 pixels). Both displays offer
a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and come with Sapphire Crystal glass
protection. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. The
Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 includes 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, running on One
UI 9 based on Wear OS 7.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 is equipped with various health
and fitness sensors. It features a new BioActive sensor that combines an
optical heart rate sensor, an electrical heart rate signal sensor, and a
bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor. It features a temperature sensor,
accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, and ambient light
sensor. Samsung has included several AI-powered wellness features with this
smartwatch, such as a heart health score, fitness index, and an updated sleep
apnea feature. The 44mm model of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 houses a 445 mAh
battery, while the 40mm variant comes with a 390 mAh battery. The smartwatch
supports WPC-based fast wireless charging. Connectivity options include LTE,
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
