Redmi 15 5G launched in India: 7000mAh battery, 144Hz display and 50MP camera, that too in budget!

Redmi 15 5G has been launched in India. The biggest feature of the phone is its big 7000mAh battery. Apart from this, it has a display panel with 144Hz high-refresh rate, which is 6.9-inches in size. The phone works on Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. It also gets Gemini’s Circle to Search feature, through which users can search for details of an object directly on the Internet by drawing a circle on it. In this, RAM can be expanded up to 16GB virtually using storage. The phone also supports reverse wired charging.

Redmi 15 5G price in India, availability

Redmi 15 5G has been introduced in India in two configurations. Its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration has been launched at Rs 16,999. The phone will get Midnight Black, Frosted White and Sandy Purple color options. Redmi 15 5G can be purchased from August 28 through Mi.com and other online and offline retailers.

The Redmi 15 5G has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display that supports 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has Wet Touch 2.0 technology, which will give smooth touch response even with wet fingers. The phone has a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage type.

Redmi 15 5GB runs on Android 15 based HyperOS 2.0 and has smart AI features like Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. The company claims that the phone will get OS upgrades for 2 years and security patch updates for 4 years. Redmi 15 5G has the option of virtual RAM expansion, which makes it usable up to 16GB of RAM and includes microSD card support up to 2TB.

The rear camera setup has a 50MP primary sensor equipped with f/1.75 aperture. Information about other sensors has not been shared. At the same time, there is an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

The battery is its biggest feature. The phone is equipped with a large 7000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. It also has features like Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos and IP64 rated build. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It includes all the basic sensors along with IR Blaster. The phone is 8.4mm thick and weighs 217 grams.
