Fujifilm X-E5 camera launched in India: Features a 40.2MP sensor and 6.2K video recording support. Learn the price.
Fujifilm has launched its new mirrorless camera, the X-E5, in India. This is a new model in the company’s X-series, designed with a lightweight and compact design. The company says the X-E5 is designed for both everyday users and professional shooters. It features a 40.2-megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor that works with X-Processor 5. The camera features five-axis in-body image stabilization, providing up to seven stops of stabilization in the center and six stops at the edges. It also supports digital stabilization for video.
The Fujifilm X-E5 is priced at ₹159,999 (body only). It will be available in two color options: silver and black. The camera will be available on the Fujifilm e-shop, Amazon, Flipkart, and authorized retail stores nationwide.
The Fujifilm X-E5 features an advanced autofocus system. It features a hybrid AF system that combines phase detection and contrast detection. It also features subject recognition that can recognize faces, eyes, animals, vehicles, and drones. The X-E5 offers continuous shooting speeds ranging from 3 frames per second to 20 frames per second, depending on the shutter mode.
For video recording, the Fujifilm camera can shoot at up to 6.2K at 30fps. It also supports DCI 4K at 60fps and Full HD at up to 240fps. The camera supports 10-bit and 8-bit video coding and records in H.264 and H.265 formats. It also supports HDMI output (4:2:2 10-bit). Display options include a 0.39-inch OLED viewfinder with 236,000 dots. A 3-inch tilting touchscreen LCD with a 180-degree swivel is also provided.
The X-E5 also features a surround view mode that displays areas outside the frame. The camera also features a front control lever, a precision-cut film simulation dial, and flush-mounted viewfinder controls. The X-E5 offers 20 film simulation modes, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Acros, and Eterna.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C (10Gbps), HDMI Type-D, and a 3.5mm microphone/remote jack. It packs an NP-W126S battery that claims to deliver around 310-400 photos or 45-80 minutes of video recording. The camera weighs 445 grams and measures 124.9×72.9×39.1mm.
