Apple launches new MacBook Pro in India, M5 chip, 14.2-inch display. Learn price and specifications.
Apple, one of the largest device manufacturers, has launched the MacBook Pro in India with the new M5 chip. The company states that this laptop offers 3.5 times more artificial intelligence (AI) features and 1.6 times better graphics performance than the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip.
Pricing and availability of the new MacBook Pro
This laptop, powered by Apple’s M5 chip, is priced at ₹169,900 for the base model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The 16 GB + 1 TB variant of the MacBook Pro is priced at ₹189,900, and the 24 GB + 1 TB variant is priced at ₹209,900. Students can avail a ₹10,000 discount through Apple’s Education Store. This laptop is available in Silver and Space Black colors. Sales will begin on October 22nd.

This laptop features the company’s new M5 chip. This chip features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. The MacBook Pro’s 14.2-inch (3,024 × 1,964 pixels) display features a Liquid Retina Pro XDR panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a pixel density of 254 ppi, and a peak brightness level of 1,000 nits. Customers also have the option of a display with a nano-texture finish. Connectivity options on this laptop include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, three Thunderbolt 5 ports, an HDMI port, a MagSafe 3 charging port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an SDXC card slot.
The new MacBook Pro features a 12-megapixel center stage camera. It has six speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. This laptop has a Touch ID sensor for security. It runs on macOS 26 out-of-the-box. It has support for Apple Intelligence features. The 72.4 Wh battery of this laptop can provide 24 hours of video streaming in a single charge. A 70 W USB Type-C power adapter will be provided with it. Along with this, customers will also have the option of a 96 W power adapter. The size of this tablet is 312.6 × 155 × 221.2 mm and its weight is approximately 1.55 kg.
