LAVA Shark 2, a phone with a 50MP camera and 8GB of RAM, launched in India for less than ₹7,000.
Recall that in May this year, the Lava Shark 5G phone was launched in India for ₹7,999. The new 4G phone is cheaper than the 5G model. This Lava Shark 2 4G phone can be purchased in Aurora Gold and Eclipse Gray colors. As we already mentioned, this phone will not be available on Amazon or Flipkart at this time. It will only be available from offline mobile stores.
The LAVA Shark 2’s appearance resembles the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The back panel of this Lava phone features a square-shaped camera module inspired by the Apple iPhone, housing three camera lenses and an LED flash. The sensor placement is identical to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but the flash is placed differently. This setup is labeled 50MP AI camera.
The Lava Shark 2 features a U-shaped waterdrop-style notch display. The phone features a flat screen with subtle bezels around it. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right frame, while the SIM slot is located on the left frame. The lower frame houses the USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Lava Shark 2 smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, an octa-core processor built on a 12nm process and capable of clocking at up to 1.8GHz. Lava claims that its new phone has achieved an AnTuTu score of 375,000. This phone runs on pure Android 15, with no bloatware.
As we mentioned earlier, this phone is equipped with 4GB of virtual RAM technology. The Lava Shark 2 4G phone sports a 6.75-inch HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Such a high refresh rate is a plus in this price range. It offers a better scrolling experience. For photography, it features a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie sensor.
For power backup, the Lava Shark 2 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. It is IP54 rated. The Lava Shark 2 will compete directly with smartphones like the latest Samsung Galaxy F07 and the Moto G06 Power, both of which are low-budget smartphones.
