Huawei Mate 70 Air launched with a 6,500mAh battery; learn price and specifications.

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has launched the Huawei Mate 70 Air. It could compete with Apple’s iPhone Air. Although this smartphone is slightly thicker than the iPhone Air, it boasts a larger battery and better cameras. The smartphone’s quad-camera unit features a 50-megapixel primary camera.

Huawei Mate 70 Air Price and Availability

The smartphone’s 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,199 (approximately Rs. 52,200), the 12GB + 512GB variant at CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 58,400), the 16GB + 256GB variant at CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 58,400), and the 16GB RAM + 512GB variant at CNY 5,199 (approximately Rs. 64,700). The Huawei Mate 70 Air is available in Feathered White, Silver Brocade, Gold, and Obsidian Black colors. Pre-orders have begun in China. The company has not announced an international launch date for the smartphone.

Huawei Mate 70 Air Specifications and Features

This smartphone features a 7-inch Full HD+ (1,320 × 2,760 pixels) AMOLED display with a 300 Hz touch sampling rate. It runs Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.1. The 16 GB RAM variant of this smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9020A chipset, while other variants feature the Kirin 9020B chipset. The Huawei Mate 70 Air is billed as a slim smartphone, measuring 6.6 mm thick. It could rival Apple’s iPhone Air. The smartphone’s rear quad-camera unit includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 1.5-megapixel multi-spectral color camera. It has a 10.7-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, BeiDou, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. The Huawei Mate 70 Air packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 66W wired fast charging. Sensors on the front include a gravity sensor, e-compass, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity light sensor, and flicker sensor.
