Oppo Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro phones launched with 200MP cameras and large batteries; learn the price

Oppo has finally launched the Reno 15 series in China, with both the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro models coming in multiple storage configurations, large batteries, and the new MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. The company positions these phones in the mid-high premium segment and touts design, camera quality, and battery life as key highlights of the series. Sales in China will begin on November 21st, and both models will be available in various color tones. Let’s take a closer look at them.

The Oppo Reno 15 Pro is priced starting at CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 46,000), while the base model of the Reno 15 starts at CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 37,000). The high-end variant of the Reno 15 Pro with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs. 60,000), while the top variant of the Reno 15 in the same configuration is available for CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 50,000).

The Oppo Reno 15 Pro has been launched in Honey Gold, Starlight Bow, and Canele Brown color options, while the Reno 15 has been launched in Starlight Bow, Aurora Blue, Canele Brown, and Starlight Bow Song Yuqi (all names translated from Chinese). As mentioned above, their sales will begin in China on November 21.

In terms of specifications, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro features a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ Flexible AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The standard Oppo Reno 15, on the other hand, features a 6.32-inch Flexible AMOLED display with the same brightness and refresh rate. The Reno 15 Pro is slightly larger than the standard model and weighs 205 grams, while the Reno 15 weighs around 188 grams.

Both phones are powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, with a top clock speed of up to 3.25GHz. Graphics are handled by an ARM G720 MC7 GPU. The Reno 15 series includes LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Both models feature the same triple rear camera setup, including a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. They are accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto camera with 120x digital zoom support. A 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera with autofocus is also provided on the front.

While the Reno 15 Pro comes with a 6,500mAh battery, the Reno 15 features a 6,200mAh battery. Both phones support 80W fast charging, but 50W wireless charging is only available on the Pro model. Both models in the series support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and A-GNSS. They also include an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both models feature audio-video sensor setups and rich multi-band connectivity.
