Redmi 15C 5G Launched in India: New entry-level 5G phone with a large display and a 6000mAh battery. Learn the price.

Xiaomi has launched its new Redmi 15C 5G in India. The phone’s key highlights include a large 6.9-inch 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 6000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging. The company has also included a 50MP main rear camera, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, and RAM expansion features. Considering the entry-segment, Redmi has introduced the phone with an IP64 rating, a side fingerprint sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera.

Talking about pricing and availability, the Redmi 15C 5G has been launched in three variants. The base model with 4GB+128GB is priced at ₹12,499, while the 6GB+128GB variant will be available for ₹13,999. The top-of-the-line model with 8GB+128GB is priced at ₹15,499. The phone will be available in Dusk Purple, Moonlight Blue, and Midnight Black color options starting December 11th via Amazon, Mi.com, and Xiaomi retail.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi 15C 5G features one of the largest panels in its segment. It features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 810 nits. The screen also has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free. The notch at the top houses an 8MP selfie camera.

For performance, the phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The company has provided 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM options, along with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2, and Xiaomi promises 2 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, along with a secondary camera. An 8MP front camera is available for video calling and selfies. The Redmi 15C 5G features a large 6000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. This is a significant upgrade over the previous generation, as the Redmi 14C had a 5160mAh battery and 18W charging. The build is IP64 rated.

In terms of connectivity, the phone has dual-band Wi-Fi with 5G SA/NSA support, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack.
