Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Nothing, which entered the smartphone market a few years ago, launched the Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition in India on Tuesday. This is a special edition variant of the Nothing Phone 3a, which was introduced in March this year. It is part of Nothing’s Community Edition project. Its design and UI elements are based on suggestions from over 700 members of this project.

Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition Price and Availability

The single variant of this smartphone, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, is priced at Rs. 28,999. Only 1,000 units of the Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition have been manufactured. This smartphone will be available for purchase at an exclusive special drop event in Bengaluru on December 13th. The specifications and features of the Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition are the same as the standard model. Nothing has stated that the first stage of its Community Edition project involved the design process. The hardware package and design submitted by community member Emre Kayganacl were selected. This design is based on late 1990s mobile phone designs and 2000s technology.

The Nothing Phone 3a features a 6.77-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED display (1,080 x 2,392 pixels) with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, and a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor and runs on NothingOS 3.1 based on Android 15.

The rear camera unit of this smartphone includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.88 aperture and support for optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel digital telephoto camera. On the front, it features a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This smartphone’s 5,000 mAh battery supports 50W fast charging. For connectivity, it offers dual 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Nothing’s sales have grown rapidly in the mid-range smartphone segment.
