Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design Launched in China with a 200MP Telephoto Camera
Honor, in collaboration with Porsche Design, has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design, in China. This RSR model offers a luxurious design, high-end materials, and top-of-the-line features, making it the most premium model in Honor’s Magic 8 series. The Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design model draws inspiration from Porsche’s flowing lines, which are evident in its rear camera module. The smartphone is available in Slate Gray and Moonstone color options. Its back panel uses microcrystalline nano-ceramic material, which the company claims is stronger than traditional glass and has a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5. Honor claims that this phone is approximately 10 percent lighter than previous RSR models. Overall, it offers a stunning look.
The Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design features a 6.71-inch (1256 x 2808 pixels) 1.5K 1-120Hz LTPO quad-curved OLED screen. It supports HDR10+ with up to 1800 nits of global peak brightness, up to 6000 nits of HDR peak brightness, and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The front features Honor’s Giant Rhino glass, and it boasts IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
In terms of performance, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone comes with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage, catering to a wide range of users. The Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design features a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main sensor with OIS support, along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto sensor. In terms of pricing, the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design’s 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant has launched at 7,999 yuan, which is approximately ₹1,04,486 in Indian currency. The top-end 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model will be available for 8,999 yuan, or approximately ₹1,17,549.
