Poco C85x 5G Launched in India: 6300mAh Battery and 120Hz Display Under Rs 12,000

Poco has launched its new budget 5G smartphone, the Poco C85x 5G, in India. This device is a new variant of the Poco C85, which the company released last December. The phone features a 6.9-inch HD+ display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It sports a notch design housing an 8MP front camera. Powering the device is a Unisoc T8300 chipset. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and supports virtual RAM expansion of up to an additional 4GB. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS, based on Android 16.

In terms of pricing, the 4GB + 64GB variant of the Poco C85x 5G has been launched at Rs 10,999, while the 4GB + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 11,999. The phone will be available in Black, Gold, and Green color options. Sales are set to begin on Flipkart starting March 14.

Moving on to specifications, the Poco C85x 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. According to the company, the display offers a typical brightness of 660 nits and a peak brightness of up to 810 nits. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications.

For performance, the phone is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc T8300 6nm processor, paired with a Mali G57 MC2 GPU. The device offers 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If needed, the storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

In terms of cameras, the Poco C85x 5G features a 32MP primary rear camera, accompanied by a secondary camera. For selfies and video calling, it sports an 8MP front camera. For security, the phone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Regarding the battery, the phone houses a 6300mAh unit that supports 15W fast charging, and the charger is included right in the box. According to the company, this battery can retain approximately 80 percent of its health even after 1,000 charging cycles—or roughly three years of usage. Additionally, the phone supports 7.5W reverse wired charging.

Connectivity features include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also features a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. It comes with an IP52 rating, claiming protection against dust and light water splashes.
