Tecno Pova 8 Launched in India with 8,000mAh Battery; Check Price and Specifications

Chinese handset maker Tecno has launched a new smartphone in India. The Tecno Pova 8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. Its rear camera setup features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor. The device sports a 6.76-inch Full HD+ IPS display. It houses an 8,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. The Tecno Pova 8 will be sold via the e-commerce platform Flipkart. It succeeds the Tecno Pova 7, which was introduced last year.

The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹29,999, while the 8GB + 128GB variant costs ₹31,999. The Tecno Pova 8 is available in White, Orange, and Green color options. Sales will be conducted through the e-commerce site Flipkart.

The smartphone features a 6.76-inch Full HD+ (1,080×2,344 pixels) IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 381 ppi, and a peak brightness of 950 nits. It runs on Tecno’s HiOS 16, based on Android 16. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor paired with a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary camera, while the front houses a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone’s camera unit supports features such as Portrait mode, Vlog mode, Dual Video, and Slow Motion.

The Tecno Pova 8 features an ‘Alive Matrix Display’ on the rear panel that provides notification alerts. It is equipped with a 14,689 sq mm cooling system for thermal management during gaming. The smartphone’s 8,000 mAh battery supports 45W fast charging. The company claims that this battery can provide up to 1,198 hours of standby time, a maximum of 39.5 hours of calling time, and over 17 hours of video playback on a single charge. The smartphone measures 165.66 × 78.46 × 8.8 mm and weighs approximately 225 grams.
