Lava launches Yuva Star 2 smartphone with 4GB RAM, 5000mAh battery, price Rs 6499

Lava has launched a new budget smartphone Yuva Star 2 in India. The smartphone has been introduced in the entry-level segment, but an attempt has been made to give some good specifications in it. The smartphone has a 6.75-inch HD + display. The phone draws power from a 5000mAh battery and runs on Android 14 Go Edition. A 13MP dual rear camera setup is available for capturing photos and videos. Apart from this, users get face unlock, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an interface without any bloatware in the device.

Lava Yuva Star 2 price in India, availability

The price of Lava Yuva Star 2 has been kept at Rs 6,499. It comes in only one variant, 4GB RAM (with 4GB virtual RAM) and 64GB storage. The phone will be available in two color options – Radiant Black and Sparkling Ivory. The sale of the device has started from May 1 at retail stores across India. The brand is also providing Free Service@Home facility to the users.

The Lava Yuva Star 2 with dual-SIM (Nano) support gets Android 14 Go Edition operating system. The company says that the phone will give a bloatware free experience. It has a 6.75-inch HD+ display. There is a waterdrop-style notch on the screen for the front camera. The Lava handset works on Octa-core UNISOC processor, whose model name has been kept behind the scenes.

The chipset of the Lava smartphone is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded up to 4GB more virtually with the help of storage, i.e. a total of 8GB. It has 64GB of internal storage.

For photography, there is a 13MP AI dual camera setup at the back and a 5MP front camera at the front. It also has security features like face unlock, side fingerprint sensor, anonymous call recording. The phone is IP rated, which means there is mild protection from dust and water.

The battery is 5000mAh, which can be charged with a 10W Type-C charger. According to the company, this phone can easily provide a full day’s backup.
