Vivo Y50 5G and Y50m 5G launched, they will get up to 12GB of RAM and 6000mAh battery; know the price

Vivo has launched two new 5G smartphones of its Y series – Vivo Y50m 5G and Vivo Y50 5G in China. Both the phones have been introduced with similar design and almost similar specifications. Their biggest difference is the RAM option. Talking about some key specifications, both Vivo phones get MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset and draw power from a 6,000mAh battery. Their thickness is 8.19mm and weight is around 204 grams. Both have three variants with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

Vivo Y50 5G, Y50m 5G price, availability

The most affordable variant of the Vivo Y50 5G is 4GB+128GB, which is priced at CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 13,000). Apart from this, both the Y50 5G and Y50m 5G models come in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants, priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 18,000), CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) and CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 26,000) respectively.

Vivo Y50 5G, Y50m 5G specifications

As we mentioned, there is only one variant difference between the two handsets, apart from that, all the specifications are the same. Both smartphones have a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display, which has 720×1,600 pixel resolution, 1,000 nits peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. The build of both is IP64 certified.

The Vivo Y50m 5G and Y50 5G have a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, which is based on 6nm architecture. Both phones come with 6GB / 12GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage (4GB RAM variant is also available in Y50 5G) options. Storage can be further expanded with a microSD card. Both models run on Android based OriginOS 5. They have a single 13MP camera at the rear, which has f / 2.2 aperture. The front includes a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling.

In both these phones, you will get options like 5G support, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, 3.5mm audio jack, OTG and USB Type-C. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock facility. Both the phones have also received SGS’s 5-star drop and fall certification.

Vivo Y50m 5G and Y50 5G have a large 6,000mAh battery, which supports 44W fast charging. The company claims that once fully charged, the phone can give up to 52 hours of talk time. The size of both the smartphones is 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19mm and weighs around 204 grams.
