Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro launched in China with 11.2-inch 3.2K displays and 9200mAh batteries
Xiaomi launched its powerful Xiaomi 17 series in China. At the same event, the company also introduced new Pad 8 series tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. Both devices have been launched in China with impressive design and strong performance. They are expected to arrive in other markets in the coming months. Both models in the Xiaomi Pad 8 series feature a large 11.2-inch display. They feature a 3.2K screen resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 345ppi screen density, and 800 nits peak brightness. The display comes with TUV Rheinland triple eye protection, and the Soft Light Edition features an AG nano-texture + AR coating, which can reduce reflectivity by up to 70%.
Speaking of the processor, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pad 8 Pro comes with the even more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This clearly indicates that both models are designed for high-performance and professional users.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro tablets run on the brand’s latest Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which supports PC-level multitasking, a PC browser, and professional applications (WPS, CAD, CAJ). They weigh 485 grams and are only 5.75mm thick. The devices can also be used with accessories like the Focus Touch Pen Pro and Floating Keyboard.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at 2,199 yuan (approximately ₹27,370), and its high-end Nano Soft Light Edition 12GB + 256GB variant goes up to 2,999 yuan (approximately ₹37,325). The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro starts at 2,799 yuan (approximately ₹34,835). The top-of-the-line 16GB + 512GB Nano Soft Light Edition model is available for 4,099 yuan (approximately Rs. 51,014). The company has introduced these tablets in Pine Green, Ice Crystal Blue, and Black color options in China.
