Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max Launched with Dual Displays, 7500mAh Battery, 16GB RAM, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Xiaomi has showcased its strength with the introduction of its new number series. The company has launched three new smartphones in China: the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Full details of the advanced features and powerful specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are provided below.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max made headlines even before their launch due to their dual-display design. Both phones feature a secondary screen on the back that handles notifications and camera access, as well as apps, messages, and calls. The company has used OLED TCL rear displays on both phones.

While the Xiaomi 17 Pro features a smaller 2.66-inch screen with a resolution of 904 × 572 pixels, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max 5G features a 2.86-inch secondary display with a resolution of 976 × 596 pixels. Regarding the front panel, the Pro model features a 6.3-inch main screen, while the Pro Max features a 6.9-inch primary display.

Both Xiaomi smartphones feature flat screens, using the TCL M10 LTPO OLED panel on the front panel. The screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and 3500nits of brightness. In terms of screens, both mobiles are different and more advanced than their predecessors, which may appeal to users.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are the first smartphones in the world to be launched with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It’s powered by an octa-core processor based on a 3-nanometer architecture, clocked at 3.63GHz to 4.6GHz. It features a Hexagon NPU for AI capabilities, and an X85 5G Modem RF System for better network connectivity. For graphics, it features an Adreno 840 GPU.

For photography, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max feature a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 950L OIS sensor on the back, which works in conjunction with a 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. The company also launched its new flagship Xiaomi phone with a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

To power the phones, both the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max follow the current trend of large batteries. The 17 Pro 5G phone features a 6300mAh battery, and the 17 Pro Max comes with a massive 7500mAh battery. To ensure faster charging of the larger battery, the Xiaomi 17 Pro series features 100W fast charging technology and 50W wireless charging.
