OPPO Reno 15c 5G Launched in China with 12GB RAM, 50MP Selfie Camera, and 6500mAh Battery
The OPPO Reno 15 series is eagerly awaited in India. It is expected to be launched in the Indian market next month, in January 2026. But before its entry into the Indian market, the company has added another new model, the OPPO Reno 15c, to the series, alongside the OPPO Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro. The OPPO Reno 15c has been launched in China and comes equipped with 12GB of RAM and the power of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
The OPPO Reno 15c features a 6.59-inch 1.5K screen. This is a flat display built on an OLED panel and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The company launched the Reno 15 with a 6.32-inch display and the Reno 15 Pro with a 6.78-inch display. This means the Reno 15c fits between the two in terms of screen size. All three phones in the series are equipped with in-display fingerprint sensor technology.
The OPPO Reno 15c 5G phone runs on Android 16, which works in conjunction with ColorOS 16. For processing, this smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor, built on a 4nm architecture, which is capable of running at a clock speed of 2.8GHz. This is the first phone in the series to use a Snapdragon chipset. The other two, the Reno 15 and 15 Pro, use the Dimensity 8450 processor.
For power backup, the OPPO Reno 15c 5G phone is equipped with a robust 6,500mAh battery. This is the same as the ‘Pro’ model in the series. The phone is equipped with 80W fast charging technology for rapid charging. It’s worth noting that the Oppo Reno 15, launched in China, had a 6,200mAh battery, which is smaller than the one in the new Reno 15c. However, all three smartphones have similar wired fast charging capabilities.
For photography, the Oppo Reno 15c features a triple rear camera setup. The back panel houses a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 main sensor with an LED flash, which works in conjunction with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, this Oppo phone supports a 50-megapixel front camera.
The OPPO Reno 15c is a 5G phone with 12GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options. In China, the 256GB variant is priced at 2899 Yuan, which is approximately ₹37,150 in Indian currency. Similarly, the 512GB variant is priced at 3199 Yuan, which is approximately ₹40,950 in Indian currency. The phone will go on sale in China starting December 19th and will be available in Starlight Bow, Aurora Blue, and College Blue colors.
The Oppo Reno 15c includes connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, and also features an IR blaster. In China, this smartphone comes with an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating, making it dustproof and waterproof. Finally, the phone has a thickness of 7.77mm and weighs 197 grams.
