CMF has launched its new CMF Headphone Pro in India. This is the company’s first over-ear headphone, marking CMF’s next step in the audio category. The new headphones are particularly noteworthy for their modular design, physical controls, and long battery life. They feature an Energy Slider that allows users to directly adjust bass and treble without opening an app. The headphones support Hi-Res Audio and offer a bitrate of up to 990kbps via Bluetooth with the LDAC codec. The CMF Headphone Pro features Hybrid Adaptive ANC, which, according to the company, can reduce noise by up to 40dB.
In terms of price and availability, the CMF Headphone Pro is priced at Rs 7,999 in India. However, as part of a launch offer, it will be available for Rs 6,999. The headphones will be available for purchase from January 20, 2026, at 12 PM on Flipkart and select offline retail stores. The headphones come in Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Light Green color options.
Regarding the design, the CMF Headphone Pro features a modular architecture with swappable ear cushions. Users can customize the look of the headphones according to their preferences. The build is splash-resistant and has an IPX2 rating. The dimensions are 168.5×95.7×188.5mm and the weight is 283 grams.
The company has opted for unique physical controls instead of touch controls. It features a physical dial called “Roller” for volume control, play/pause, and switching between Active Noise Cancellation modes. It also includes an Energy Slider that allows for direct bass and treble adjustment without needing an app. In addition, there’s a customizable button that can be set for functions such as turning on Spatial Audio or launching the AI assistant. These same controls can also be used to answer calls, reject calls, skip tracks, and manage Transparency Mode.
For audio, the CMF Headphone Pro features 40mm custom dynamic drivers with nickel-plated diaphragms and copper voice coils. These headphones support Hi-Res Audio and offer a bitrate of up to 990kbps via Bluetooth with the LDAC codec. AAC and SBC codecs are also supported. Features like Bluetooth 5.4, Dual Connection, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair are also included. It works with Android 5.1 and above, and iOS 13 or later.
In terms of noise cancellation, the CMF Headphone Pro features Hybrid Adaptive ANC, which, according to the company, can reduce noise by up to 40dB. This system automatically adjusts the ANC level based on the surrounding environment. For calling, it uses a 3-microphone ENC architecture and a wind noise conduction mesh. Transparency Mode is also available. The headphones support in-ear detection and a Low Lag Mode, which automatically activates on Nothing phones and can be enabled via the app for other devices.
CMF has also included a Personal Sound feature based on Audiodo technology, which creates a custom sound profile based on the user’s hearing abilities via the Nothing X app. Along with Spatial Audio support, it also offers Cinema and Concert modes.
The battery section is one of the major highlights of the CMF Headphone Pro. It features a 720mAh battery. With ANC off, the headphones claim up to 100 hours of music playback with the AAC codec, and approximately 50 hours with ANC on. With the LDAC codec, the battery life is rated at 70 hours with ANC off and 38 hours with ANC on. Thanks to fast charging support, a 5-minute charge can provide approximately 5 hours of playback with ANC off and about 2.4 hours with ANC on. A notable feature is that the headphones can be charged directly from a smartphone using a USB-C to USB-C cable.
