Apple has launched the MacBook Air M5 as its latest tablet. The company’s thinnest laptop now comes equipped with a powerful new chipset, boasting fast storage and improved wireless connectivity. The laptop comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of standard storage. As the name suggests, this laptop is powered by the M5 chipset, for which Apple has made significant claims. MacBook Air M5 price
The company has introduced two variants of the MacBook Air M5. The 13-inch model starts at ₹119,900, while the 15-inch model starts at ₹144,900. These can be purchased from the Apple Store. Pre-orders begin on March 4th. Sales will begin on March 11th.

Design and Display
The company has introduced the MacBook Air M5 in 13-inch and 15-inch display sizes. The laptop features a similar design to the older model. The 13-inch model features a 13.6-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels. It has a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The laptop has a 12MP Center Stage webcam. The MacBook Air 15-inch comes with a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2880 x 1864 pixels. Here, the company has provided support for a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU.
Processor
The biggest highlight of the MacBook Air M5 is its M5 chipset. The company has provided two GPU configurations, one with an 8-core processor for graphics and the other with a 10-core processor. RAM starts at 16GB. Users can customize the RAM and SSD as per their needs, with RAM expansion up to 24GB and 32GB. Storage comes standard at 512GB, expandable up to 4TB. The company claims that the read-write speed of the SSD is now twice as fast.
Connectivity
For connectivity, the laptop features an N1 wireless chip with support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 6, and Thread networking technology. The laptop also has two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm jack.
Battery
The MacBook Air M5 comes with a 53.8Wh lithium polymer battery. It can provide up to 18 hours of streaming video playback. MagSafe 3 magnetic charging port is also available.
