US technology company Google launched its new smartwatch in India. The Google Pixel Watch 5 features a 3,000-nit display. It comes with new 'Health Guardian' features, such as breathing emergency detection and monthly health trend summaries.

The 41mm variant of the smartwatch is priced at ₹42,999, while the 45mm variant costs ₹45,999. Google has made each variant available in two options. The 41mm variant can be purchased with either a Polished Silver Aluminium case paired with a Fog Active band or a Champagne Gold Aluminium case paired with a Canyon Active band. The 45mm variant is available with a Satin Pyrite Aluminium case paired with an Olive Active band or a Black Aluminium case paired with an Obsidian Active band. Pre-orders for the Google Pixel Watch 5 have begun, and sales will start on August 20.

Google Pixel Watch 5 Specifications and Features

The smartwatch retains the rounded design of its predecessor but incorporates several hardware and software upgrades. It features a domed Actua 360 AMOLED LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 60Hz, a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and a pixel density of 320 ppi. It is powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated platform and a Cortex-M55 co-processor. Google states that this dual-chip architecture delivers a 20 percent improvement in performance. The smartwatch comes with 64GB of eMMC storage.

The Google Pixel Watch 5 also features Gemini integration. This smartwatch supports health tracking features such as ECG with AFib detection, high and low heart-rate alerts, SpO2 monitoring, breathing rate tracking, and real-time stress tracking. It also includes sleep tracking capabilities like breathing regularity analysis and personalized sleep scores. A key highlight is its 'Health Guardian' features, which provide monthly summaries for blood pressure trends, sleep breathing quality, and insulin resistance trends. The company claims that the smartwatch's battery lasts up to 40 hours on a single charge.
