HMD has launched the HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G, the latest
smartphone in its Vibe series, in India. It is an upgraded version of the HMD
Vibe 2 5G, which was launched in May of this year. The new phone features
upgrades to the display, camera, and battery compared to its predecessor. The
smartphone runs on Android 16 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300
chipset. Additionally, it offers a 120Hz display, 5G connectivity, and a large
6000mAh battery.
The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ LCD display
with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300
chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage. The device
runs on Android 16, and the company has promised two years of security updates.
The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G also integrates Sarvam's Indus AI,
offering smart assistance in over 22 Indian languages. This AI can be used for
tasks such as drafting content, answering questions, and planning. The phone
also includes support for the Sanchar Saathi safety app.
It is equipped with a 6000mAh battery that supports 33W
wired fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G support. For audio, the
phone features dual stereo speakers and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack,
allowing for the use of wired earphones or headphones. As for the camera, the
phone features a dual-camera setup on the back. It includes a 64MP Sony IMX682
primary camera accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. Both cameras are housed
within a square-shaped module, with a circular LED flash positioned below them.
For selfies and video calls, the phone is equipped with a 13MP front camera.
HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G Price and Availability
The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G is priced at ₹15,999 for the variant
with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB
of storage is priced at ₹17,999. As part of a launch offer, both variants can
be purchased for ₹14,999 and ₹16,999, respectively, for a limited time. The
phone is available in Silver Mist, Aqua Green, and Cosmic Purple colors. Sales
will begin on Flipkart starting October 8.
