New Smartphone Magic 8 Lite Launched with 7500mAh Battery and 108MP Camera

Honor launched its ‘Magic 8’ series in October, introducing the Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro smartphones in China. Both of these flagship phones came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Now, the company has launched the mid-range mobile of the same series, the Honor Magic8 Lite, on the global stage. The brand has officially revealed the mobile’s features and specifications, while the price and sale details will be announced in January.

The Honor Magic 8 Lite supports a dual rear camera setup for photography. It features a 108-megapixel OIS camera on the back panel, which is a 1/1.67-inch sensor. Alongside it is a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the Honor Magic8 Lite supports a 16-megapixel front camera.

The Honor Magic8 Lite 5G phone has been launched in the global market with a 6.79-inch screen with a resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels. This is an OLED panel display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and 6000 nits peak brightness output. This screen has extremely narrow bezels, with a thickness of only 1.3mm. This mobile will be available in Forest Green, Midnight Black, and Reddish Brown colors.

The Honor Magic 8 Lite is a phone with a large battery. For power backup, it is equipped with a 7,500mAh battery. To quickly charge this large battery, the smartphone also supports 66W fast charging technology. The company has also equipped this 5G phone with 7.5W reverse charging technology. Honor claims that the Magic8 Lite’s battery health can remain above 80% for up to 6 years. The Honor Magic 8 Lite has launched with Android 15, running on MagicOS 9.  For processing, this smartphone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm fabrication process, capable of running at clock speeds up to 2.3GHz. This mobile will be available for sale in January. It would have been better if the company had offered Android 16.

The Honor Magic 8 Lite 5G phone comes with an IP66 + IP68 + IP69K rating, making it dustproof and waterproof, and also providing liquid and temperature protection. This mobile is SGS 5-Star certified, which provides added durability to its body. The brand claims that even if this smartphone falls from a height of 2.5 meters onto a marble floor, it will remain undamaged.

The Honor Magic 8 series will not be launched in the Indian market for now. The Honor Magic 8, Magic 8 Pro, and Magic 8 Lite will not be available for sale in India.
