Samsung Galaxy S26 launched in India for ₹87,999, S26+ for over ₹1 lakh

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26+ at its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. Both flagship smartphones are powered by the in-house Exynos 2600 chipset and come pre-installed with the latest One UI 8.5 interface. Both phones feature a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear. The Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch display, while the Galaxy S26+ features a 6.7-inch display. Both phones are equipped with Galaxy AI features. Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ Price

The Samsung Galaxy S26 is priced at ₹87,999 for the 12GB/256GB storage variant and ₹107,999 for the 12GB/512GB storage variant. The Samsung Galaxy S26+ is priced at ₹119,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and ₹139,999 for the 12GB + 512GB storage variant. These phones are available in Blue, Black, Purple, and White colors. Both phones will be available for pre-order starting February 25th.

Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Galaxy S26+ features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1440×3120 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both phones’ displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2. The Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ run on OneUI 8.5 based on Android 16. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are powered by Samsung’s in-house deca-core Exynos 2600 chipset. Both phones come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage.

Talking about the camera setup, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ have a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture and OIS support, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with 3x optical zoom and f/2.2 aperture on the rear. For selfies and video calling, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ have a 12-megapixel wide-angle front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 26mm focal length. The rear camera unit supports 8K video recording at 24/30 frames per second (fps) and 4K video recording at 30/60 frames per second (fps).

Connectivity options on both phones include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GLONASS, Galileo, GPS, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include a gyroscope, e-compass, accelerometer, barometer, and proximity sensor. Both come with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Galaxy S26 is powered by a 4,300mAh lithium-ion battery that supports 25W wired charging and wireless charging. The Galaxy S26+ is powered by a 4,900mAh lithium-ion battery that supports 45W wired charging and wireless charging. Dimensions wise, the Galaxy S26 measures 149.6mm in length, 71.7mm in width, 7.2mm in thickness, and weighs 167 grams. The Galaxy S26+ measures 158.4mm in length, 75.8mm in width, 7.3mm in thickness, and weighs 190 grams.
