Redmi 15 5G launched: 7000mAh battery, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, that too in ‘budget’! Know the price
Xiaomi has officially launched the new smartphone of its Redmi series, Redmi 15 5G. This phone is designed for those users who are looking for big battery, high-refresh rate display and AI features, that too in budget. It includes a large 6.9-inch Full HD + display with 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor and the largest 7,000mAh battery ever in any global device from Xiaomi.
Redmi 15 5G has been launched in Malaysia for MYR 729 (about Rs 15,000). Currently it has been launched in a single variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. This smartphone will be available in three color options – Ripple Green, Titan Gray and Midnight Black. The company has confirmed that it will be launched in India on August 18, 2025. Sales will be through Xiaomi’s website and offline stores.
Redmi 15 5G specifications
The Redmi 15 5G has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display that supports 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has Wet Touch 2.0 technology, which will give smooth touch response even with wet fingers. The phone has a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is optimized for performance and battery management. It runs on Android 15 based HyperOS 2.0 and has smart AI features like Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots.
The camera setup has a secondary lens with a 50MP primary camera. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The battery is its biggest feature. The phone is equipped with a large 7000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. It also has features like Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos and IP64 rated build. The phone has the option of virtual RAM expansion, which makes it usable up to 16GB of RAM and also includes microSD card support up to 2TB.
