Redmi 15A 5G Launched in India: 6300mAh Battery, 4 Years of OS Upgrades Promised—Check Price

The company has officially launched the Redmi 15A 5G in India. This new 5G smartphone features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Unisoc T8300 processor and offers up to 6GB of RAM, along with support for up to 6GB of virtual RAM. For photography, it sports an 8MP front camera and a 32MP primary rear camera. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0, based on Android 16; Xiaomi has promised to provide the Redmi 15A 5G with 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates.

Redmi 15A 5G Price in India and Availability

The starting price for the Redmi 15A 5G has been set at ₹12,999. The 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at ₹12,999, the 4GB + 128GB variant at ₹14,499, and the 6GB + 128GB variant at ₹16,499. The phone will be available in three color options: Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black. Sales are scheduled to begin on April 3rd via Mi.com, Flipkart, and select offline retail stores.

It also includes DC Dimming support and holds TÜV Rheinland certification. In terms of battery life, the Redmi 15A 5G is equipped with a large 6300mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Additionally, it features 7.5W reverse wired charging support. According to the company, the battery can retain up to 80% of its health even after 1,000 charging cycles or approximately three years of usage.

The Redmi 15A 5G is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T8300 6nm processor paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card. In the camera department, it features a 32MP primary camera along with a secondary camera, while an 8MP front camera is provided for selfies.

The phone also includes features such as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio.
