Realme 16 5G Launched in India with a 7,000mAh Battery; Features a Rear-Mounted Mirror for Great Selfies!

Realme has officially launched its new smartphone, the Realme 16 5G, in India. This device comes packed with features such as a massive 7,000mAh battery, 60W fast charging, a 50MP Portrait Master camera, and a 120Hz AMOLED display. According to the company, the device focuses on delivering robust battery backup within a slim design profile. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor and runs on Realme UI 7.0 (based on Android 16).

In terms of pricing and availability, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Realme 16 5G is priced at ₹31,999, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is available for ₹36,999. Pre-orders for the device have commenced today, with shipping scheduled to begin on April 5. The phone is available for purchase in two color options: Air White and Air Black.

Regarding specifications, the Realme 16 5G houses a 7,000mAh battery that supports 60W fast charging. According to the company, the phone can last up to two days on a single charge. It features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,200 nits, promising excellent outdoor visibility.

As for the camera setup, the phone is equipped with 50MP sensors on both the front and rear, along with an additional 2MP secondary camera on the back. A unique highlight is the inclusion of a “selfie mirror” within the rear camera module, designed to assist users with framing their shots while taking photos. Furthermore, the device offers a suite of AI features that aim to enhance the overall photography experience. For performance, the Realme 16 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. According to the company, the integrated Flux Engine helps maintain smooth performance over extended periods.

Despite housing a large battery, the Realme 16 5G measures just 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 183 grams. Additionally, it features an IP69-rated build which, according to the company, offers protection against dust and water. The phone includes all essential connectivity features, such as Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, 4G LTE, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, a USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 6. The device also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
