AI Features, 32GB RAM, and 120Hz Touchscreen Display! Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i Laptop Launched
Lenovo has added a new model—the IdeaPad Slim 5i (15IWC11)—to its laptop lineup. While the company has not yet officially disclosed pricing or availability details, the model has already been listed on Lenovo’s product specifications website. The new laptop is powered by Intel’s new Wildcat Lake processors. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i features a 120Hz touchscreen display, up to 32GB of RAM, and support for Copilot.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i has been introduced in several global markets. It is priced at $1,499 in Australia, €1,229 in France, €1,099 in Germany, HK$ 7,850 in Hong Kong, RM 4,280.20 in Malaysia, and £970 in the UK. The company has not yet revealed the official sale date for the device. The laptop is available in a grey finish. Its body features an aluminum chassis and weighs approximately 3.28 pounds (or about 1.48 kilograms). It is expected that the company will share further details regarding pricing and availability in the coming days.
The laptop features a 15.3-inch IPS touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to the company, the screen supports a brightness of 400 nits and offers sRGB color gamut coverage.
In terms of performance, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i offers processor options including the Intel Core 5 320 and Intel Core 7 350. Both chips feature a 6-core design, comprising 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. Additionally, the laptop features an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) to handle AI tasks, supporting a capability of up to 17 TOPS. Consequently, it qualifies for Microsoft’s AI PC category support and includes a dedicated Copilot Key.
The laptop is available with 16GB and 32GB RAM options. However, since the RAM is soldered directly onto the motherboard, it cannot be upgraded later. For storage, it supports up to a 1TB M.2 SSD.
Regarding the battery, Lenovo offers two options for this model: 54.7Wh and 70Wh. The company claims that the larger battery variant can deliver up to 22.8 hours of backup during local 1080p video playback. However, actual battery life may vary depending on real-world usage.
In terms of connectivity, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i features two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Furthermore, the laptop is equipped with a 1080p webcam, a physical privacy shutter, and support for Windows Hello facial recognition.
