itel Aqua Launched: India’s Only IP67-Rated Feature Phone at ₹1,799!

itel has launched its new ‘Inno Series’ in the Indian market. Under this series, the company has introduced the itel Aqua feature phone. The company claims that this is India’s only feature phone to come with an IP67 rating. This means the device is designed to offer protection against water and dust. Additionally, the phone features AI Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), aimed at enhancing the calling experience in noisy environments. According to the company, the new Inno Series has been crafted with everyday challenges in mind.

In terms of pricing and availability, the itel Aqua is priced at ₹1,799. This feature phone will be available in Blue, Red, and Black color options. Customers can purchase it from retail stores across the country.

In a press release, itel revealed that an internal survey conducted by the company indicated that water damage accounts for approximately 42 percent of the reasons why users replace their feature phones. Keeping this in mind, the itel Aqua has been equipped with an IP67 rating. The company claims that the device can withstand submersion in water for up to 30 minutes. Furthermore, it is designed to be used in environments exposed to dust, mud, and humidity.

To enhance the calling experience, the phone features AI Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). According to the company, this technology helps reduce background noise in loud environments—such as markets, factories, construction sites, and heavy traffic—thereby ensuring clearer audio during calls.

The itel Aqua features a 2.4-inch display. Powering the device is a 1200mAh battery. The company has also included a Type-C charging port—a feature rarely seen in feature phones within this price range. In terms of accessibility features, the device includes the ‘King Voice’ feature, which is capable of reading out menu options, messages, and call-related information via voice in both Hindi and English. Additionally, the phone supports 10 regional languages.

Other features include wireless FM radio, FM recording, auto call recording, Bluetooth connectivity, and support for expandable storage of up to 32GB. The phonebook allows for saving up to 1,000 contacts. The company states that this device has been designed with users in mind who seek basic communication and entertainment features combined with a robust design.
